Governmental Services:

At local level, Transtech provides consulting engineering services to approximately twenty municipalities throughout Southern California. The municipal services provided by Transtech include Building and Safety, Plan Check, Inspection, City Engineering, City Traffic Engineering, CIP Design, Project and Construction Management, Program Management, CDBG and Federally/State Funded Project Management Services.

Transtech also provides training, and establishes procedures for project, construction and program management to local governmental agencies. Transtech prepared a very extensive Project, Program and Construction Management Procedures Manual for the County of San Bernardino's Architecture & Engineering Department to assist the department in developing and implementing efficient and state of the art project management practices and procedures to better serve the operational needs of the department, as well as ensuring the delivery of good customer service to its clients.

Transtech is recognized as one of the foremost expert firm in State and Federal funding programs and procedures. In addition, to managing these projects to ensure compliance with funding requirements, we obtained over $100 million in state and federal funds for various public works improvement projects for our client cities in the past few years.

Transtech also provides Emergency and Disaster Response, Support and Recovery Services to its clients, including coordination with FEMA for funding and recovery, operational set-up for expedited plan check and permit process for quick response, immediate mobilization of engineering resources to review impacts and to prepare immediate mitigations, preparation of funding paper work and applications for reimbursement by FEMA, and development, implementation and management of erosion and sediment control, drainage control, and debris removal programs.

We are accustomed to working with governmental agencies in every facet of planning, building, and public works, and our staff has an unparalleled understanding of public agency issues, procedures, and policies. Transtech understands the importance of providing services that can respond to the Client's needs based on work load and demand by adjusting level of staffing as necessary, and provide the services in an efficient and cost effective manner without sacrificing the quality and responsiveness.

 

Land and Real Estate Development Services:

Our staff has extensive experience in land and real estate development with special expertise in hillside developments (involved in the development of approximately 10,000 lots and 40,000 acres of hillside properties). Major projects by Transtech include Specific Plan for Arrowhead Springs Development, which involves 1,200 residential units, 450,000 SF commercial, 250,000 SF office, an 18 hole golf course, 600 room hotel and 4,000 space parking structures. Transtech is also the engineer for the Arrowhead Springs development project. Transtech served as the engineer, for the University Park Development project, which includes approximately 200 detached SFR, 200 attached/mixed use residential, and retail development on a 135 acre land across from Cal State San Bernardino University. Other recent major land development projects include approximately 10 subdivisions with over 1,000 units in Inland Empire. Also, Transtech is developing a number of mixed use, residential and commercial projects as developer, including 3rd Street Mixed Use Development, 9th Street Industrial Development, MacKay Office Development, and Depot Area Retail/Commercial Development.

In addition to being premier design engineers and construction managers serving Local, Sate and Federal Agencies on multi-million dollar mega projects, Transtech staff also provide their expertise in the construction field to legal field and universities. One of our key staff members, Craig Melicher serves as expert witnesses for construction claims and defects. Another key staff member, Ali Cayir, has taught Engineering, Land Development, Planning, Construction and Project Management class at the Cal State San Bernardino University, International studies.

Transtech has gained a solid reputation in the industry for delivering high quality projects with cost efficiency, on schedule, within budget, and to full satisfaction of the client. Transtech received Caltrans Award for Excellence in Transportation and, California Preservation Foundation Preservation Award for the Renovation and Adoptive Re-use of Historic Santa Fe Depot Project. Transtech was the turn-key program/construction manager for this project.

Because our firm is involved in major multi-million dollar projects with various governmental agencies, including Federal Government, we have an accounting system audited and approved by federal Government and found in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), all applicable provisions of federal, state, and local laws, statues, ordinances, rules, regulations, and procedural requirements including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).

Transtech has a proven track record in providing high quality engineering services which result in minimal problems during implementation of projects. Our extensive experience coupled with our in-house quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) program prevent design errors and change orders. Our approach is to provide proactive management to control every aspect of a project in detail to identify potential issues and problems in advance and take corrective actions before they become problems. This requires extensive hands-on knowledge, experience and management skills of the people involved in managing and inspecting the project. Our team members have extensive experience and proven track record in managing such complex projects and bringing them to a completion on time and budget.
